ha you were right finally this is written in the interview there

Battlefield: Heroes is something new for DICE. It's a cartoon-style shooter that you can only play online and you don't need to pay a cent to do it. Rather the game is built around microtransactions, fees you'll (hopefully) gladly part with to make your character stand out or your experience more fulfilling.

Isn't the Item shop idea to Battlefield Bad company only ? I have heard BFheroes will be 100% free so I doubt they are going to sell items.. Ben says they will have revenues for ads, they will probably display INgame advertises so it will generates a nice revenue and we'll be able to play for free.
