Pangya Q&A With Assistant Game Operations Manager and Curse!

Pangya is a casual online multiplayer golf game that simulates the exciting sport of golf in an anime-inspired style with an immersive fantastical storyline. With varied landscapes from captivating desert backgrounds to lush green tropics, snowy wonderlands and more, players will find that the once peaceful island of Pangya was interrupted by evil forces that vowed to destroy the purity of Pangya’s serene nature.

We recently sat down with Sang Kwon, Assistant Game Operations Manager for Ntreev to get some answers about how this Pangya is different from the previous version released so so long ago!

Q. How does this game differ from the previous version?

A. We are now back to 'Pangya'! We are very happy to continue the game under
Ntreev's umbrella! We've planned out many things to improve from the
previous iteration. First of which is overhauling the localization. We
plan on going back and fix many of the localization concerns in-game,
using our in-house localization team at Ntreev USA. We have also taken a
very aggressive stance on any players found to be using hack programs,
unapproved 3rd party programs and the like. Restructuring the basis of
operations in general has been a major focus. Our servers and their
respective channels were also re-organized to bring our players closer
together. We have a very "hands-on" approach with our publishing ideals,
and Pangya will receive full support from Ntreev USA just like our other
games Trickster Online & Grand Chase.

Q. What is planned for the future of Pangya?

A. First of all, we do have Season 4 in the works. This is a big update that
our North American players have been eagerly waiting for. We don't have an
exact release date but all we can say is it is coming this summer! We
also plan on hosting many events catered to our North American audience
and we're working closely with the development team to relay our feedback
and improve the game. We also plan on shortening the content turnaround
time from the original Korean version as well.

Q. What are the play modes currently available - are there any NEW play
modes coming soon?

A. We pretty much covered everything from single player to multi player
patches and 50 player tournaments as well! We do plan on expanding the
ghost mode in the future so players can view and play against some of the
best records Pangya players hold on many courses.

Q. What are some of the items available in the item shop and what benefits can a player receive by using them?

A. There are too many to list here but we cover both functionality and
cosmetic aspects. We have shop exclusive items which support many
interesting designs!
There are items designed to boost your shot power, maybe make you hit
little better by slowing things down or make it go faster! It's too
numerous and vast to list here. I really hope players sign up and login to
see what it's like. After all, we don't ask for a penny to sign up and
play the game.

Q. What items/rewards are available to players in game and how are they
achieved?

A. Players can play for records, ranks (levels, and just plain skill bragging
rights! They are archived by practice and practice! I can't stress enough
that practice makes everything perfect.

Q. Can I play with a friend and compete against other players, or can I compete 1v1 against my friend?

A. Not only you can play with friends and compete with them online, we have a
family mode where family can sit down on a single computer and take turns
to have an enticing completive match!

Introducing Pangya

Pangya is a new Free to Play game released today from Hanbitsoft and currently hosted for download on our Download Pangya page! Pangya is a fantasy golf game that has a strong storyline and allows for persistent character development. You can play with friends and compete in tournaments up to 30 people!

With varied landscapes from captivating desert backgrounds to lush green tropics, snowy wonderlands and more, players will find that the once peaceful island of Pangya was interrupted by evil forces that vowed to destroy the purity of Pangya’s serene nature. It is finally up to the citizens of Pangya to restore it to its former glory by placing the Comet in its rightful place so that nature can be revived. Players will find themselves deeply submerged into a competitive field where they will experience a surge of emotions from excitement to heart-stopping determination of putting the last critical shot amidst mystical elements such as fire-breathing dragons to save Pangya. Players can go head to head in Tournament, Pang Battle, Team Match or Family Mode. Join Pangya and escape to paradise and swing for the heavens!

Key Features In Pangya

Variety of Gameplay

Pangya offers various game modes that allow gamers to play any way they like! Players can play in Tournament Mode, where they can go head to head in a group of 30 players. Or they can go into the Battle Mode, where the player who puts their ball nearest to the hole obtains Pang (in-game currency). Match Mode and Family Mode are also offered where players can have a more personal experience playing the game in smaller groups or with their family.

Customization

Choose from 8 different characters, each with their own specialties. Pangya offers customizable options for developing the growth and stats of each character. Every character has a caddie who accompanies them giving the player advice and performing tricks while gaining experience.

Mascots

Pangya players will be accompanied in-game by Mascots. Mascots are little buddies that fly around and give the player bonuses including things like posting a note, providing a skill boost or giving a player +10 Bonus Pang each round. These little buddies do not boost stats forever though, so players must recharge them and mascots are stackable.

Beautiful Landscapes

14 different courses that offer 18 holes. Course environments vary from lush and tropical to snowy and cold and everything in between!

Pangya features a lushly colored 3D world with anime-inspired characters!
