Warrior Epic New Spirit System Tutorial Video!

We've got a video tutorial of the new spirit system in Warrior Epic for your viewing pleasure! Spirits are a unique feature in the game that allow for the death of a warrior to begin a new aspect in strategy and game play. When you die in a battle you're turned into a spirit form and reside in the sanctuary of your warrior hall. The eons of war have blurred the line between the mortal realm and the outer realms, which has allowed spirits to be summoned by your warrior in battle where it can unleash devastating attacks on enemies or imbue equipment with special powers and abilities. Spirits can also be resurrected back into living form and made playable again.

In addition to warrior spirits garnered from a player's own warriors, there are also monster spirits that can be found in-game. These monster spirits are useful for upgrading a player's equipment without sacrificing a warrior.

Warriors and Monster Spirits can be found in the Sanctuary of the player's Hall. The Sanctuary houses the spirits of the dead and can be viewed by the Hall Lords at their leisure; this is also where the spirits can be revived by the player. The spirits are not on a timer; meaning they won't disappear and players will be able to keep their spirits for as long as they like. However, after a player decides to infuse the spirit into a weapon or other piece of equipment, it cannot be undone. This sacrifice ensures the item will be permanently upgraded. Hall Lords must choose wisely!

Warrior Epic Released

Warrior Epic has been released and we're proud to announce we're hosting the client in our F2P section! If you haven't had a chance to Download Warrior Epic; now's the time! They've officially launched and included a few surprises! Most notably is a brand new introductory sequence which introduces new players to the story and lore behind Warrior Epic, as well as a Random Map Generator that allows players playing the same quest to participate within a totally new dungeon therefore enhancing the re-playability. In addition, an all-new guild system gives players the chance to create their own guild, invite members, create a guild motto and host guild contests and tournaments. With all-new and enhanced skills added to each of the six main classes, combined with subclasses, that gives players 12 character classes in-all. The game's item shop is also now open and features premium packages as well as a vast selection of unique items for sale including vanity pieces, potions and more.

IRVINE, Calif., April 30, 2009 - True Games, an international publisher of multi-player online games today launched the closed beta for Warrior Epic.
"Today represents a major milestone for Warrior Epic and True Games," said Peter Cesario, Director of New Business and Product Development at True Games. Developed by Austin based studio Possibility Space, Warrior Epic (www.warriorepic.com) is an online, action role-playing game set in an original fantasy universe. In the game, players will assume command of
a Warrior Hall from which they manage their characters' adventures. They can recruit from a wide array of Warrior Classes, each with its own style of play. The Classes and the Hall itself can be upgraded
visually as well as functionally. Players adventure together in multiplayer campaigns, adventure mode, solo quests and PVP.

One of the most unique aspects of Warrior Epic is the death system. Instead of penalizing players for their fallen warriors, Warrior Epic opens new and strategic options for players. The game's unique Warrior Spirits System enables fallen warriors to not only be revived at any time at their hall, but also to be transformed into Spirits that can be bound to weapons and equipment to increase and open weapon
abilities and stats, or they can be called out to inflict massive damage depending on player needs.

Unlike most MMO's today, Warrior Epic will offer players a satisfying online experience even if they have only a few hours a week to play. One of the ways Warrior Epic achieves this is by putting a heavy
emphasis on session-based missions. These 20-30 minute sessions allow a player to make significant progress in regards to leveling their Warrior, gaining loot, and accomplishing more in a much shorter
timeframe than other existing games.

Closed Beta Officially Over

We have officially stopped support for the Closed Beta of Warrior Epic. It was a complete success in every respect and has given us all the tools we need to move forward with development on the game. The community has provided a truckload of feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and potential content. Overall, the response was very positive… especially considering the fact that it was a true “beta”. These days, development studios fear releasing a true beta to the public, even on an invite-only basis, primarily because of the potential for bad buzz and press. So, when they release a beta (even closed beta) to the current market, their beta is actually a near finished product.

We weighed our options, but being an independent developer forces you to use less conventional means to ensure quality in the finished product. For us, that involved establishing a strong community and actually letting you all participate in the development of our game. By doing so, we know exactly what our community wants from Warrior Epic and come hell or high water, we will deliver that to you.

Work on the Open Beta has continued without pause and is going strong. Brice will release new screenshots, movies, and news about the OB as it develops. People who currently have access to the Closed Beta will still be able to play, but updates and support (aside from the guides) will be unavailable until the release of the Open Beta.

Warrior Epic "Play Day" Goin Down this Thursday

On this Thursday there's an Official "Play Day" for Warrior Epic. They need a lot of people on at the same time, to accomplish this the team behind WE are rewarding everyone who participates. The "Play Day" begins at 9:30CST (Central Standard Time) and for those of you who sign up and are ingame at 9:30CST will get a Zambrano Warrior added to your account.

$20 in blue money was promised as well, but it was later changed, since the plans on how blue money will work has not been finalized yet. Another thing you'll get is 20 blue coins in the open beta build of the game. Finally, on Thursday all pending Closed Beta accounts will be approved, so it doesnt matter if you had no access previously.

Warrior Epic Closed Beta Update

The Warrior Epic team has just launched a new update to their closed beta that contains a whole slew of changes. For starters, the combat system has been completely overhauled and is now in real time. This has significantly increased the pace of Warrior Epic AND has eliminated combat "lag" that people were experiencing in previous builds.

Warrior Epic Enters Closed Beta

The Warrior Epic Closed Beta is now live! We received an update from the folks over at Possibility Space to let us know it's now officially live and available to beta testers.

After a week and a half of server debugging, the Warrior Epic Closed Beta is finally "Officially" released. All contest winners from other sites have now been activated and given access to the Closed Beta. We will be giving hundreds of people access today and more throughout the week. The latest build (v1.017) has proven incredibly stable with very fast bandwidth speeds thus far.

Access will be given through daily contests held in our community forums on www.warriorepic.com.

The majority of people who have had access to Warrior Epic during the server debugging phase have given our game much praise. I welcome all editors to try the game out for themselves, please register on warriorepic.com and email your username to me. I will activate your account immediately upon receipt.

To access the CB Client, please log into www.warriorepic.com and click "Play Now" once your account has been authorized (it will say "CB Tester" instead of "Status Pending" in your User Control Panel)

Warrior Epic News Update

We've been told that The Closed Beta of Warrior Epic will be released any day now. They are polishing the game a little bit more first is all! According to the folks behind Warrior Epic, there's been a big jump of registered users, it jumped from 10.000 to 15.000 within just the last month. The community have been growing at a very fast-paced rate and they plan to chose new moderators based on the large amount of people that have applied for said position; to manage the 'chaos' that might ensue as the doors opens up for the closed beta.

The magazine Play has featured Warrior Epic in its April release (2008). There's an exclusive interview with Brice Lucas of Space. Three pages of Warrior Epic goodness can be found in the magazine, where many of the details will show gameplay. Grab your copy when you can!

Plans to release several Warrior Epic promotional sites will be released this week where features such as videos, signatures for forums and a lot of information about the game will be made available.

Thats right, you can now apply for the Closed Beta! Simply log in and select "Apply for CB" in your user control panel. If you are accepted into the program, your control panel will reflect your new status and an email will be sent. In the event that you are accepted, please head to the "Closed Beta" section of the forums for more details. We have also posted some new screenshots of Warrior Epic...BEHOLD! Particle Effects, Critical Hits, and Hall Customization!
