This is the "everything but anchovies" version -- the download contains all of the Fishing Buddy related add-ons in one convenient package.
A full-service fishing add-on.
A fishing addon that keeps track of the fish you catch and helps manage your fishing gear.
Features:
- 'Easy Cast' lets you double-right-click to cast when a Fishing Pole is equipped
'Easy Lures' will put a lure on if you need one
'Auto Loot' will turn on the auto-loot function if it's not on already (but only while you fish)
- 'Fish Watcher' lets you see the fish you've caught here before (or the fish that you've caught in the current session)
- Display your current skill level and the time since you started fishing
- Choose your fishing outfit and change into it easily
- Support for automatically adding a lure to your fishing pole
- Full Titan Panel support
- myAddOns support
- Preliminary support for tracking 'cycle fish' such as the Nightfin Snapper so you know when to go looking for them
Example commands:
/fishingbuddy or /fb
toggle the display of the Fishing Buddy window
/fb help
print the list of Fishing Buddy commands
/fb switch
wear your chosen fishing outfit, or change back
There are two actual add-ons -- the second one, OutfitDisplayFrame, handles the pretty pane to set up your fishing outfit (it's next on the list to be made into something more general that anyone can use). The OutfitDisplayFrame addon can be safely left out if you have a preferred equipment manager.
alt-clicking on an item in your outfit display will clear it

In addition to displaying the fishing bonus for your fishing outfit, it also displays your 'style points' as inferred from Draznar's Fishing FAQ (http://wow.toshimo.com/viewtopic.php?t=272).

Sutorix said@Oddible -- there's a bug on Blizz's side with Auto-loot and fishing. I haven't found a way around it yet. Or, at least, there was. FB doesn't recast unless the loot window is closed...

Oddible saidHaving a problem with Auto-Loot. When I have it turned on (with EasyCast) its hit or miss. Sometimes it loots just fine, sometimes it just leaves the loot screen open and recasts, sometimes it closes the loot window and doesn't loot at all - it registers the fish in the list but I don't get the fish in my bags (this happened on the daily fishing quest - I saw the fish appear in the loot window and in Fishing Buddy's list but it never appeared in my bag). This just started happening since 2.4 with 0.9.4h.

omeow saidHere's another thing I keep running into... I'm not sure if there's a decent solution to this. So.. I have my fishing outfit with blue overalls, fishing hat, etc. But I only really wear them when I attend the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza. Outside of that, all of the fishing gear except for my pole sits in my bank. When I try to switch between fishing mode and normal mode after I've set up my full gear, I get an error that certain items could not be found.
Wouldn't it make more sense to just equip the items that can be found and ignore the ones that can't be found? (But then... what happens to the slot for which the item can't be found? Should the slot be emptied or the currently equipped item left unchanged?)

If you enable Sunn, it will modify game window adding borders around it, which is nice. Internally it creates another frame somewhere, I suppose.
When I double-right-click to start fishing, Fishing Buddy apparently not registering the click event, and does nothing. It's probably Sunn's frame blocking the clicks.
Without Sunn everything works fine.
I do understand that it's not FB's problem, but I doubt Sunn's author can do anything to send the mouse events through to the main game frame.
Is there a way to modify FB to register events in Sunn's game frame as well to make Easy Cast work?

When i dress the fishing pole, the volume for effects turns to 100%, the volume for music and environment turns to 0%. That is ok so far.
But why the overall volume turns to 0%? With this setting you cannot hear the effects.
So i always have to increase the overall volume manually.

picachu saidWith 0.9.4d i get following 2 errors on login:
..\FishingBuddy\FishingOutfitManager.lua:44: '}' expected near ']'
and
..\FishingBuddy\FishingBuddy.lua:1706: attempt to index field 'OutfitManager' (a nil value)
and minimap icon isn't showing although it is checked in options window, but rechecking it and closing options makes it to appear again.

Sutorix said@Whitecloud -- I'll take a look at the location window. Since I rarely, if ever, have it open while I fish, I haven't seen that :-)
I'll look into the tooltips -- other people have mentioned that and I haven't figured it out yet.

Whitecloud saidAwesome addon, I been using it like crazy the past few days.
I do have some bug reports to add, might as well post them here since you don't have the bug reporter enabled yet.
1.) When you fish while the Fishing Buddy frame is open, after looting the fish, if you attempt to scroll through the fish or locations, it will expand every one of them.
2.) Fishing Buddy makes most of my tool-tips disappear. I'm not sure if this is a conflict with another addon, such as Auctioneer, but 90% of my tool-tips are hidden when I mouse over them while I have my fishing pool equipped.
