I downloaded the new version for Curse (V4 i guess it is) and when i did it was a completely new application when opening (none of my old downloaded addons) so i just thought i had to delete the other application and the addons in it and i'd re-download them on the new one.

when i went into the game to see if the addons are on in the game it doesn't even show them downloaded. Can someone help me on telling me what I am doing wrong right now?

Also i am on a MAC

I'm posting this simply because I could have used it myself after installing the Curse Client v4 alpha… this thing really needs a guide for now, and I haven't seen one, so here's my attempt. I'm not affiliated with anyone in any way; I'm just a user writing from my personal experience. Feedback is welcome. If this helps you, please let me know. If it's useless, please let me know.

(Note: This guide assumes you know how to use your Mac. For instance, I'll tell you to download the Curse Client disk image and install it wherever you like, rather than detailing the steps to double-click the disk image icon, drag the client to a folder on your hard drive, click the disk image, click the File menu, click Eject…)

Open the client and type in your Curse.com login info. If this is the first time you've run it, it may take a few moments to initialize itself, and then you'll see the main window.

If the Games list on the left sidebar is empty, you'll have to add WoW manually: Open the Preferences and click the + button on the bottom. Double-click on the name and set it to whatever you want it to be listed as in the client, then click Set Path and browse to your World of Warcraft folder. Note: Select the WoW folder, NOT the AddOns folder. If it says "Executable is missing," try again. When finished, close the Preferences window.

You should now see a list of any addons you already have installed. If the list is blank even though you know you have addons installed, click Refresh. If nothing happens (as it did for me), restart the Curse Client.

Installing addons with the client from links on the Curse website doesn't work (yet). To install addons, click "Get More Addons" in the toolbar. You'll see a searchable list of every addon available. Use the search bar and the category menu below it, find an addon you like, select it, and click Install/Update. If nothing happens, that means it's working-they haven't (yet) implemented a progress bar or anything. The addon's status (downloading, updating, etc.) is listed under its name, but the status only updates when you select or deselect the addon; if you like watching things download, you can click Install and then rapidly press the up and down keys.

If you have multiple installations of WoW, and you install an addon… post what happens, because I have no idea how that's handled.

Don't forget to clear the search bar and the category when you go back to your installed addons.

To update your installed addons, click Refresh to make sure the client's data is up-to-date, then click "Update All", or select the addons you want to update and click "Install/Update". Beta versions of addons are apparently not supported in the client.

Previous version for Mac? (not a version 4 alpha)

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get another version 3.x for Mac? So much has changed in version 4 and I think it still needs a lot of work. I was trying all kinds of stuff for half an hour and I'm very frustrated now. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

In the older version everything was easy and straightforward. Now it's all confusing...

i have been using QH up till lvl 30 then i went to stranglethorn vale and QH is not showing any of the quests i have tryed updating from the curse client but still nothing but then when my friend joins my party i cna see evrything i dont get it plz help

KAO's has another new costume which has the western theme

it has this victorian, baroque feel to the costume, which is pretty familiar with another game

the female Alegrias costume of the elementalist of Granado Espada

see the similarities?
anyway, it's nice to have new varieties for the costume

Have you seen Troy? It's a new feature of Atlantica where you get to fight monsters "tactics" style. This is so awesome! It's not yet released in KAO but I can't wait for it! I don't know all the details and I can't understand what it says but here is the link for you to check out!

Addon Profiles for Toons?

I have a Mage, a Shaman, and a Hunter that I play the most.

The Mage uses the most class specific addons since she's the 80. Mage Nuggets, Broker Portals, Decursive, etc.

But the Hunter doesn't need these although the Shaman can use the Decursive. Later the Shaman will use HealBot which the other two won't.

Is there a way to enable/disable addons according to the toon being played? Like a macro or something? I've tried to use the profile option under Titan Panel but it didn't do anything. Prob'ly because I didn't do it right.

Regarding the images and models on your database sites

Hello, Curse people! I have a small question regarding the images/textures and models that are used on your database sites. (I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section)

As far as I know, it is against the terms of use to reverse engineer any of the game files for most of the games out on the market today. So my question is: how are you circumventing this? I'm guessing that the textures and models on your database sites are taking directly from the game files since I can't really see another way to extract such data. (the curse client can record data but it doesn't save any of the actual files, right?)

Maybe you want to call it a trade secret or something but I'm curious how you make it on the legal side of things.

hello, I am looking for a few addons so if anyone knows anything that matches what I need, please let me know.

1. an addon that will automatically roll greed for greens and prompt me for BOPs/quest items, etc

2 an addon that will give a brief rundown - description - of bossfights, either for my own use or to copy and paste to the group, so i dont have to spend so much time typing :D (not deadly bossmods, i am looking for more of a text description BEFORE the fight, more of a guide)

3. a better addon for taking notes than "NotesUNeed" ... i.e. more stable, less buggy

4. a new and improved version of Polite Whisper (I have the newest version of that, but maybe there is a new mod out there or in the works??)

Hi all,
Each updates of the games i'm seeking for addons updates of mine installed in the hope to activate them without to force the out-to-date red warning.

Is it possible to lunch an updater who is updating each of my addon i have in my interface/addon/ working, each time i'm lunch the game ?

If yes i hope you will not think i making this post to flood but i haven't found anything like this or some who can update spécific addon i don't use.

I am looking for addon that may work simillar to RecipeRadar addon but will also search for professions quests. I mean that if I am able to get quest that will teach me/give me recipe for profession i have, it will automatically show on minimap. Is it possible to get such addon? I couldn't find any:) I hope i am not asking fo anything illegal^^

Hello everybody,

1 year ago or 2, i had an addon called "sell sound" or "selling sound". It was simple: A cash-coin sound was played everytime i sold something on the auction house.. I really need this addon back, but formated my computer..

Google doesnt find this addon anymore..

anyone got it or knows a source for it?
