Addons missing after Windows 7 install (only ones managed by Curse)

I did a clean install of Windows 7 on a new drive. My old drive, with Vista and the WoW install, was left intact. WoW is installed in Users/Public/Games. WoW started up fine and remembered my settings but the only addons it knew about were the ones that weren't managed by the Curse client. I looked at the permissions of an addon it recognized and one it didn't and couldn't see a difference. The only way I could fix the problem wsa to reinstall each addon from the Curse client. So the Curse client is doing something to these directories that cause them to not be recognized by WoW when accessed from a different OS than originally created them.

I've successfully copied over the addons directories numerous times to different PCs, between different OSes, etc without issues like this.  Are you sure the moved the files into the correct folder?

The files were not moved. WoW was run from it's directory on the old Vista drive. Everything about WoW ran fine except for Curse managed addons didn't show up. Addons installed outside of Curse were fine.

I'm also going to guess that it wasn't a load out of date issue either.

I know the client does not modify the files in any way which would cause it to break like how you're describing.

Could it of had to do with the ownership of the folders and not having proper access to them?

We have the same problem but have more information.  Here are the repro steps for how we are seeing the manifestation on Windows 7.  Did not have this issue when I was on Vista.  Make sure you have multiple user accounts on the same computer (both can have admin privs)

1) Install Curse Client in public folder under one account with admin priviledges.
2)  Install add ons using the client.
3)  Check your WoW account and you will see the add ons in there.
4)  Log on to other user account.
5)  Log into WoW and those add ons are not there.
6)  Launch Curse Client in this second account and REINSTALL the add ons.
7)  Log into WoW on that account and you will see the addons.
8)  Go back to the original account and log into WoW...the add ons  you saw 5 minutes ago are now gone.

The add on folders are in the Interface directory as usual but they only show up in WoW if you log into WoW from the same user account used to run the client in.

I just upgraded to windows 7 via a new computer.  I had to reinstall all my addons.  I had no issues with the install process except for 2 exceptions.  I am a healer and i use Vuhdo.  The client would download the addon and extract it but the install fails every time.  The same issue happens with Healbot Continued.  The perimission is obviously fine since i have all my other addons and they are working jsut fine.  Anyone else having issues with this same kind of thing?
